Bookings and payments

If you choose to book directly on this website, we process booking and guest data to create a hold, complete payment, confirm your reservation, and support check-in.

What booking data we collect

Stay details: selected apartment (unit), check-in/check-out dates, nights, and guest counts (adults, children, infants).
Guest contact details: full name, email address, and phone number.
Arrival details: preferred check-in time and optional message to host.
Booking and pricing details: quote breakdown, taxes, discounts/surcharges, currency, and total amount.
Payment metadata from Stripe checkout: checkout session ID, payment intent ID, customer ID, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers.
Security and anti-abuse data: hold identifiers, hashed access/manage tokens, idempotency keys, and request-level safeguards.
Identity registration documents: before check-in, we may receive guest ID/passport photos via WhatsApp where required by Italian law.

How we use this data

to create and manage holds/reservations, including availability checks and stay administration;
to contact you about booking confirmation, arrival, check-in instructions, and support;
to process and reconcile payments, including fraud/risk and duplicate-payment prevention;
to comply with legal obligations, including guest registration and accounting/tax duties;
to protect booking flows and prevent misuse, unauthorized access, and operational abuse.

Who we share booking data with

Stripe (payment processor) to run secure checkout and payment confirmation.
Messaging providers you use to contact us (for example WhatsApp) when you send check-in or identity information.
Public authorities when required by applicable law (for example guest-registration obligations in Italy).

We keep booking data for as long as needed to operate bookings, handle support/disputes, and meet legal, tax, and security obligations.
